The 1Malaysia Broadband Carnival is one of awareness and promotion activities organized by the Ministry of Information, Communications and Culture in cooperation with the Commission, the communications industry and all relevant agencies in the effort to:

1. To create and increase public awareness of services, broadband applications and broadband access devices to further encourage its use;
2. To introduce, promote and educate the public about the benefits of broadband and its applications in creating an IT-literate community, and
3. Drive new broadband subscription which in turn contributes to increase household broadband penetration.
